2011 Pagani Zonda Tricolore - Pagani Unique Hypercar

Pagani Automobili created the Pagani Zonda Tricolore on the occasion of the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the "Frecce Tricolori", as a tribute to the National Aerobatic Team.
2011 Pagani Zonda Tricolore
Pagani will introduce the rare cars in the Geneva Motorshow, the 2011 Pagani Zonda Tricolore. Pagani has come up with a new carbon fibre finish for the body of the Zonda Tricolore and there are unique air intakes mounted on top of the rear wings styled to look like the intakes of the jet fighters used by the display team.

In 2010 the aerobatic season of the Frecce Tricolori comes to its 50th anniversary, wich will be celebrated on 11th and 12th September at Rivolto Airport.
2011 Pagani Zonda Tricolore
The Frecce Tricolori (Italian, literally Tricolour Arrows), officially known as the 313th Aerobatic Training Squadron is the demonstration team of the Italian Air Force, based at Rivolto Air Force Base, in the north-eastern Italian region of Friuli Venezia-Giulia, province of Udine. They were formed in 1961 as an Air Force team, replacing previous teams that had been sponsored by various commands by the end of the 1920s.

The Tricolore comes with a 678bhp version of the Zonda’s 7.3-litre V12, Mercedes-sourced engine and it’s good for 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 220mph. You’ll need to be as quick as the FrecceTricolore to grab the £1.3 million Pagani Zonda Tricolore though, as Pagani reports several customers have shown an interest in buying the unique hypercar. You should see the Photos Car of the unique design.

The team flies the Aermacchi MB-339-A/PAN, a two-seat aircraft capable of 898 km/h at sea level, with nine aircraft and a solo (the highest number of aircraft of any aerobatic team in the world).
2011 Pagani Zonda Tricolore
The Frecce Tricolori belong to the legacy of the entire Italian community. This special edition Zonda is named after the Italian air force aerobatics team, known as the Frecce Tricolori. Italian colored stripes (red, white, green) running up the nose of the car and LED running lights set this Zonda apart from the others. Only 1 will be made at a cost of $2.75 million.

2011 Pagani Zonda C9 - Pagani Exotic Sports Cars

A decade later, Pagani Zondas remain near the top of the exotic sports car list. They've been tested fast in a straight line, reaching 0–60 mph in the mid-3-second range and proved able to get around the Nürburgring in a video game-quick 7:27.82.
2011 Pagani Zonda C9
Every Zonda features another highly prized quality among exotic cars: rarity, with fewer than 100 in existence.
2011 Pagani Zonda C9
While lacking the classic, flowing beauty of a Pininfarina-designed Ferrari, the Zonda's shape is an attention-getter. It stops you in your tracks. We didn't think the design would age well, but a decade down the line it still rivets attention and holds it — from that low nose with its four small headlamps back to the big center exhaust port corralling four outlets. A photographer's dream.
2011 Pagani Zonda C9
The attractive interior is a mix of modern (carbon fiber), retro (toggle switches) and art deco (the design of instruments and controls) accented with aluminum and fine leather.
2011 Pagani Zonda C9
That Zonda body style is done as a sports coupe or a roadster in three levels, all with a mid-mounted 7.3-liter AMG/Mercedes-Benz V-12. The S version comes in at 555 bhp and 553 lb.-ft. of torque, the F with 602 bhp and 561 lb.-ft., and the F Club sport dynos at 650 bhp and 575 lb.-ft.
2011 Pagani Zonda C9
All use 6-speed manual transmissions, Brembo disc brakes and have the sort of A-arm suspensions you'd expect in a race car. Plus the level of suspension and aerodynamic tuning that allows 210-plus-mph top speeds.
2011 Pagani Zonda C9
Being in a Zonda at speed is a pure exotic-car moment. Like a Ferrari Enzo, there are nicely crafted touches from the museum-quality carbon-fiber finish to air conditioning that keep this from being a race car on the streets. Still, you are not cushioned or coddled or kept from enjoying the unfiltered fun of a truly fast machine. One with a price that likely will soak up $500,000 or more.
2011 Pagani Zonda C9
Sadly, the Zonda is nearing the end of its run. But don't mourn the supercar too much as the next step Pagani takes is pointed at the U.S.
2011 Pagani Zonda C9
Zonda production will round out at 100 with an added model called the R, a track-oriented version in the image of Ferrari's FXX. Looking like a still-more-aggressive Zonda — if you can imagine such a thing — the R will have a 750-bhp version of the AMG V-12.
2011 Pagani Zonda C9
While that project is being wrapped up in the original factory in San Cesario sul Panaro, both a new factory and car are being prepped for 2009. Code-named the C9, the new Pagani will be a carbon-fiber machine, possibly powered by a Mercedes/AMG V-8, so how about the SLR's supercharged V-8 with its 617 bhp and 575 lb.-ft. of torque?
2011 Pagani Zonda C9
Here's the best news: Having been frustrated in attempts to certify the Zonda in the U.S., Pagani will design the C9 for sale worldwide. We might see the new car at the 2009 Geneva show. Although there haven't been any concept drawings yet, we can count on the new Pagani being exciting...and fast. And expensive.
The Zonda nears the end of its run, but a new exotic is in the offing from Horacio Pagani.

2011 Pagani C9 Sports Car Concept

Argentine-born Horacio Pagani’s sports-car company—Pagani Automobili S.p.A., based near Modena, Italy—has been hand-building the exquisite mid-engine masterpiece known as the Zonda since early 2000.
Pagani C9
But now Pagani says the time has come to produce “a brand new car from concept.” The Pagani Zonda has served as one of the most exotic sports cars in the world for 10 years running. Now it’s time for an all-new model: the C9.
Pagani C9
Here we have the best spy shots in the past time that we’ve seen and I bet that you will appreciate them very much because of the details that they are revealing caused by the distance that the photos were taken and also because it was not on the road.
Pagani C9
Unadulterated, bombastic carbon-fiber insanity--the current Pagani Zonda and its several variants are the embodiment of what it is to be a supercar. And its replacement, the C9, looks set to have even more more, and it'll be headed to the U.S., as well.
Pagani C9
Sadly, these latest spy shots show the car in a very unfortunate state. The driver of this prototype managed to lose control and crash into a center barrier of a highway in Germany while testing the car at high speeds. Fortunately, he was left relatively unscathed.
Pagani C9
This 2011 Pagani C9 will come with a 6.0 liter V12 engine sourced from Mercedes-AMG which is able to develop up to 700 horsepower and also a maximum torque of 737 pound-feet. I may say that this is pretty amazing but taking a look at the shapes of this car, it is pretty understandable the power that it comes with.
Pagani C9
Thanks to a sharp eyed guy in South Africa we got some photos of the new Pagani Supercar, the C9. It will feature a 6.0 liter V12 Mercedes-Benz AMG engine delivering some 700 horsepower and 1000 Nm of torque. When the production in on in late 2010, the Pagani will cost around € 900.000 so you still have some time to save your money.
Pagani C9
BTW, anyone have a sticker for me, Highspeed testing vehicle and thats even Gouverment approved.
Planned production is tipped at just 60 cars per year, though that's an almost four-fold increase from the current 16 hand-built cars per year. The boost comes from a planned move to a new production facility. Construction will still be a painstaking process, however, as the C9 is a new car from the ground up, with 3,770 new parts. As Pagani ramps up for C9 production, the Zonda will slowly cease construction by September. Expect a debut towards the end of the year.

2011 SLS AMG GT3 Mercedes-Benz - Luxurious Super Sports cars

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is one of the biggest supercar releases of the past year. But the company isn't content with just making ultra luxurious supercars for the rich and well dressed, they also plan on releasing a fully homologated GT3 race version for the gentleman racer.
2011 SLS AMG GT3 Mercedes-Benz
The GT3 racing version of the SLS AMG is powered by the same mid-front mounted 6.3 litre V8 engine as the road car. There'll probably be a few modifications for the race unit, but Mercedes haven't yet announced final power outputs or specifications. Or even a final weight figure. That's all for the FIA to decide in the near future as part of the homologation process.
2011 SLS AMG GT3 Mercedes-Benz
Power transmission in the SLS AMG GT3 is done through a six-speed sequential racing transmission with steering wheel shift paddles and an integrated multi-disc locking differential. As in the SLS AMG road car, the transmission is located at the rear axle for better weight distribution: the engine and transmission are connected by a torque tube within which a carbon-fibre shaft rotates at the engine speed.
2011 SLS AMG GT3 Mercedes-Benz
The Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 is instantly recognizable as belonging to the SLS AMG family - as any GT3 racer is. The biggest visual changes are a new front apron, new splitter, redesigned bonnet with additional air intakes and vents, new sideskirts which have air inlets for cooling the rear brakes, rear diffuser and a prominent adjustable rear wing. The C-pillars provide housing for the standardized filler pipes for the fast-refuel system.
2011 SLS AMG GT3 Mercedes-Benz
The communication of Daimler release says that “the AMG V8 engine with 6.3-liter is identical to that used in the serial sports car. With a low weight, however, sports car accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h for only 3.7 seconds (serial sprint for 3.9 seconds). The maximum speed was announced for 300 mph, but producers say they have more opportunities to raise her brakes are racing by AMG, as disks are ventilated. Front wheels are size 12×18, rear 13×18.
2011 SLS AMG GT3 Mercedes-Benz
Powering this race car is a 6.3-Liter V8 engine that produces 600HP and controlling all this power is a six speed racing transmission system with shift paddles mounted on the steering wheel. The SLS AMG GT3 is designed as a racing sports car for customers competing in sprints and long-distance races.
"Thanks to uncompromising lightweight construction and superior handling dynamics, the SLS AMG provides an outstanding basis for a highly competitive racing car. This exciting GT3 version is our response to strong customer demand for a car designed for these attractive motor sports car series," says Volker Mornhinweg, Chairman of Mercedes-AMG GmbH.
2011 SLS AMG GT3 Mercedes-Benz
The body of the 2011 SLS AMG GT3 is the most significant difference from the road car starting with the aggressive front fascia and splitter to the massive rear spoiler. The hood of the race model is also very different from the normal SLS AMG with a large center cooling vent that helps to move air to cool the engine and the braking system. Along the side of the car, vents have been added to cool the rear brakes without compromising aerodynamics and all of these improvements to the overall cooling effort of the car makes it ideal for long road races like the 12 Hours of Sebring.
2011 SLS AMG GT3 Mercedes-Benz
The SLS AMG GT3 is equipped with a six-speed racing transmission with sequential shift. A steering wheel with a diameter of 13 inches facilitates perfect vehicle control. Because it is open at the top, the driver always has a perfect view of the central display, which provides all relevant information such as road speed, engine speed, operating temperatures, lap times and gear selection. The SLS AMG GT3 is also equipped with precisely calculated cooling channels – openings in the front skirt and ahead of the rear wheels direct cool airflow over the brake discs. All four brake discs are ventilated, slotted and drilled.
The 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG race car is expected to delivery scheduled prior to the start of the 2011 racing season. However, interested customers can order this awesome vehicle starting in autumn 2010. The Mercedes-Benz display at the 2010 New York Auto Show, the 2011 SLS AMG will carry a starting price-tag of $183,000 when it goes on sale.
